I thought and I thought,
With all my strength I fought,
Simply just peace, I sought,
In the journey, my true self, I forgot,
But unfortunately, in the end, I lost...
All this chaos made me feel low,
Stealing away my happiness, life spirit and my glow...
It's hard to hold on,
Holding on makes us feel more broken and torn...
Instead of bringing us towards hope and sunshine,
It pulls us towards an eclipse and a dark dawn...
With no courage to reinstate any argument,
No strength left to save any relationship from any dent...
No longer it makes any sense to stand for the right,
No longer there seems any meaning of any fight...
But unfortunately, I still can't quit,
There are still many things that need to be fixed a bit...
A few obligations and responsibilities that I can't skip,

Acting out of empathy is often their natural instinct,
For once, they have also been in others' place at risk of being extinct...
While donating and parting with so little,
The rich get the generosity label...
A label to flaunt and to show off,
A marketing stunt to raise their social graph...
The rich are poor,
And the poor are rich,
Comparing the heart and generosity,
And the motives, values and morals of each...
