Poems For All
212. The Journey to Inner Happiness
Be busy creating your own happiness,
Rather than searching for it around,
Happiness is an inner thing,
Chances of failure in searching outside abound...
We need to love ourselves,
With respect, ourselves we should treat,
Valuing our honor and dignity or else,
Our emotional and social health will rapidly deplete...
Treating self with the utmost love and care,
Respecting and cherishing our body, life and soul,
Happiness comes from a satisfied pure heart,
Not seeking external praise and validation as its goal...
To be truly happy for eternity,
Self-love and acceptance in the best,
Through all the challenges and storms,
It will help to stay peaceful and unstressed...
We don't need anyone else,
To make us feel valuable or worthy,
Knowing our value and our own true worth,
Our happiness won't rely on other people's praise or mercy...
No matter who comes or leaves,
Our happiness won't be a prisoner of their charm,
Finding happiness within ourselves,
We take the power away from others to cause our peace any trouble or harm...
We need to be kind to ourselves,
Self-love we need to cultivate,
Accepting and finding peace with our own self,
An endless cycle of happiness we will activate...
Accepting our shortcomings and flaws,
Is the only way on the journey of happiness to succeed,
Self-love, self-belief and acceptance are only going to be fruitful,
All other external pursuits will never suffice or supersede...
Others' love is not the only thing,
That can make us happy in life,
That happiness is dependent and needy,
And restricts our peaceful happy vibe...
Find what else makes you happy,
Rediscover your lost dreams,
Be busy enjoying a hobby,
Or exploring life by trying to do new things...
Find joy in everything you do,
Celebrate every moment of your life,
We die just once,
But every other day we have a chance to be reborn and really live and enjoy life...
Breaking free from external validation,
Find your inner bliss and joy,
Embracing your own worth,
Unlocking inner happiness, simply enjoy...
Light up your own world,
Be your own sunshine,
Ignoring the darkness,
Let your inner glow outshine...
211. The Choice of Freedom
Sorry for disturbing you mate,
Sleep back again and enjoy your dream date...
Sorry for not letting you find your mate,
By waking you up and spoiling your dream date...
But it's good you didn't find your mate,
That you didn't get the chance to go on a date...
Because mates are nothing but just trouble,
Making one feel useless like a pebble and rubble...
Sweet words and empty praise,
Are nothing but just a tempting bait,
To distract your focus and reduce your effort rate,
To hold you back from achieving your dreams great...
It's just a way of changing your destiny and fate,
By manipulating your life goals in the name of life mate...
Love can be a web of deceit,
To give your life purpose a bittersweet defeat...
Don't melt, just stay tough,
Into making any commitment, just don't rush...
Don't let a moment of passion win,
Don't let it make your head spin...
Don't be lured by the temptation, sweet,
It's going to leave you broken, shattered and weak...
Don't let someone else's needs become your goal,
To their wishes and desires don't surrender your goals...
Stay away from romantic love,
It's nothing more than a bluff...
Stealing peace, happiness and joy,
Life's freedom, it's going to destroy...
Love, a cunning emotional trap,
Playing with your feelings one day, going to make you feel like crap...
In their game of deceit, don't participate,
Trusting their sweet lies would be a grave mistake...
We don't need to die to know what death feels like,
Wise people learn from others' mistakes and plight...
All the promises are empty and fake,
On their basis, don't put your life at stake...
Chase your dreams and live your life,
Stop looking for a husband or wife...
Live fully and rejoice,
Enjoy life by making the right choice...
Choose Bachelorhood,
And live a life with nothing to lose...
Less worry, less stress,
A life without melodrama and mess...
Choose freedom, Choose to be you,
Fruitless chase of love, cease to pursue,
Choose freedom to be your true self,
Then dancing to someone else's tunes and changing thyself...
Be self-reliant and look for peace and joy within,
Only with self-acceptance, true happiness begins...
210. Strength of Spirit: Treasures Within
Dignity, morals and values,
And unwavering self-respect,
Rare to find treasures,
And priceless artifacts...
Leaving on others, a long-lasting effect,
Perfect example of how, even without bare necessities,
One's heart and soul can still be truly beautiful and perfect...
They are priceless virtues,
Now left with very rare few,
I hope that someday,
One of them could be me and you...
Valuing dignity and self-respect,
More than life's basic needs,
Refusing people's charity,
And generous helping proceeds...
Refusing the handouts,
Head held high,
Pride and self-respect,
Quietly glimmering in their eyes...
The strength and purity of heart,
The determination to rise, with own efforts and work,
Unshakable desire and will to succeed,
A priceless asset indeed...
Though kindness may beckon,
Their moral compass and principles hold them strong,
Even after facing so many adversities,
They never choose to travel on the path, easy or wrong...
Earning, eating and surviving,
With just their own hard work,
And refusing to take,
What for their hard work they don't rightfully deserve...
Taking morals and values,
On high ground,
Showing a strong character,
That in today's time, which is hardly anywhere to be found...
Not swaying away,
From the righteous path,
Standing by their virtues,
Even when no one is watching after the dark...
Being proud,
Of whatever they do,
And being satisfied in little,
Which, for most, may be impossible to do...
Even when the world offers them shadows,
Their inner light shines bright,
With their strength of spirit and character,
They are on the way to building their future,
Dignified and bright...
So let these be treasures,
We choose to hold dear,
A strength of spirit,
That conquers all fear...
209. Judgment's Sting
How people react when we openly share our feelings and thoughts,
At times, it feels more painful than a bee sting or being brutally shot...
We hope that people will understand and care,
But unfortunately, they will judge us by what we share...
Hearing our words with a biased and prejudiced air,
Not a single moment to judge us they would spare...
Judging by our talk and words, they silently start feeling scared,
Our despair and words, as rude and judgmental, by them being declared...
Instead of offering kindness, support and understanding,
When people judge, it can be really disheartening...
Instead of sympathy and empathy,
Being offered a trip to a psychiatrist for therapy...
Being showered with taunts and accusations,
Strong bonds, shattering due to harsh judgments, misunderstanding and miscommunication...
Silently to our pain and agony they would unknowingly and unintentionally add,
Acting numb to all our pleas and clarifications, behaving indifferent, they won't react...
We would realize sharing our feelings made them emotionally drift away,
Making them slowly part way for the things we share and say...
Rather than building and strengthening the bond,
Every feeling and emotion we shared raw, made things go wrong...
Not giving us open and safe non-judgemental space to share,
Then accusing us of having changed and no longer care...
Sharing, rather than healing,
May end up causing more harm,
Making cherished bonds,
Temporarily lose their warmth and charm...
The sting of being judged cuts deeper than any spoken word,
A silent wound that grows long, unheard...
208. Fading light: Shadows of Motherly Love
A mother was one,
With love that once outshone,
The sun's early rise,
With warmth in their eyes...
A mother was one,
With nurturing love, whose duty begun,
But now their kids, mothers just shun,
Motherhood for them is no longer fun...
A mother was one,
Whose love was bright and nurturing like the sun,
But now shadows creep,
Where warmth once used to sleep...
A mother was one,
Who whispered bedtime stories in the night,
Scraped knees, who kissed to make everything alright...
A mother was one,
Motivating and uplifting spirits, young,
But now silence hangs heavy, where laughter and inspiration used to run,
Now childhood, a hollow echo,
Devoid of warmth, growing in dark shadow...
A mother was one.
With a sweet lullaby's hum,
A lighthouse in storms, where hearts could once outrun,
Now distant phone calls, a hurried embrace,
Replaced the warmth on a tear-streaked face...
A mother was one,
With selfless love who used to shower,
But now it's just about showing control and power...
A mother's love, as times unwind,
Now just a memory, that shimmers and shines...
A love once fueled by selfless sacrifice and care,
Now a sight, becoming rare and rare...
Perhaps the world's weight, a burden too deep,
Making it fail trials of time complete,
Maybe the weight of the world she carries alone,
A silent battle, a struggle unknown....
Yearns for connection, a bridge to rebuild,
But lost in the storm, how can love be fulfilled?
As times changed,
Priorities rearranged,
Work took the stage,
Leaving an empty page...
Mother's now just trying to feel alive,
With a failed effort to balance their health, work, personal and social life...
A mother's love, no longer enough,
With so much of life's mess and stuff...
Sailing through the waves of time,
In mother's kindness there has been a steep decline...
No longer enough love there for support,
Loneliness and solitude are instead now aboard...
Fulfilling life's survival needs, dire,
A mother is always torn between work, family and her own desire...
With changing times,
Mothers juggle sometimes,
Work, bills, and worries, a relentless climb.
With them, their children's density intertwined...
Caught in the pursuit of fortune and fame,
A mother's embrace, now just a distant name...
The race for success, a relentless climb,
Leaving little space, for precious time.
Love and affection, a fading display,
Replaced with materialistic things, every single day...
Children adrift, in a world so vast,
Longing for love that forever, has passed,
With a silent plea,
In their hearts,
To once again feel the missing part,
Once again, be loved hard,
In mother's love, feel the safeguard...
A love once divine,
Now failing the test of time...
Though shadows may linger and cracks may form,
A flicker of hope remains, to rebuild the bridges and cherished bond...
Though burdens may grow, and schedules collide,
A mother's true heart can never be denied...
In every touch, and every kind word,
A mother's true love can still be heard...
Though love might not always show,
But for their children's dreams they woe,
Their children's every successful dream chase,
Deep in their heart, with ample joy, they embrace...
207. The Fragile Generation: Hereditary Heartache of Neglect
For their kids, families used to go to any length,
Fathers used to be the pillar of strength,
Mother's used to nurture with love,
For unconditional support of family, the kids could blindly trust...
But with time, as humans evolved,
The culture and family bonds are depleted and dissolved,
Family, once a shield, now fractured and thin,
Mother's love's sunshine, now flickering and gone dim,
Fathers, once pillars, no longer stand within,
Growing among them distance, vast,
Family's support is now a shadow of the past...
Caught up in the race of life,
For their kids, left with only money,
And with no time and love to provide...
Modernity's grip, the family bond it bends,
No one in the family stands united in each other's defense,
The smallest of words and things they hold as offense,
In fractured homes, emotions lose their resonance...
Changing times leave permanent emotional scars,
Hampering children's growth and destroying future stars...
All feelings of love and affection, repressed,
Buried deep, emotions lie dormant and suppressed...
With increasing emotional distance and disconnect,
Emotional stability in growing kids becomes less and less...
Emotionally vacant, empty and drained, they grow,
Love, affection, understanding and power of expression in them, often quite low...
Staying together, but still remaining detached,
But often, in front of society, acting like a perfect family, unmatched...
With solitude, they were raised,
Now that's with the next generation, what they embrace...
Lack of love in their childhood,
Made them numb on today's date,
Now they are repeating the same mistake
By giving their kids a similar fate...
Hard to give what they never had,
Due to their own childhood experiences, sad...
The cycle of neglect,
A generational loop, an endless trap,
Passed down through generations,
Putting on them pressure of their own unfulfilled aims, dreams and aspirations,
Overloading them with expectations,
Filling their future with anxieties and frustration,
Adding to their innocent souls the load of silent depression...
Can we mend the broken threads?
Can we break the chains of this neglect?
Can we build a future less repressed?
The same problems are passed in their kids upbringing in plenty,
Making the bond between them and the next generation weak and empty...
Living a childhood of void,
Emotionally shattered and destroyed,
Growing up into individuals paranoid,
Building a society, materialistic and emotionally devoid...
In problematic environments, they grow up with anger and envy,
Turning into individuals, lonely and cranky...
The emotional distance,
The lack of time,
A cycle of neglect,
In kids, destiny, sadly, intertwined...
Awareness is the first step to rewriting this generational script,
To break free from this endless cycle's grip...
Each generation, a chance to start anew,
Nurturing bonds, honest and true...
We can rewrite this generational equation,
Ending silence with proper communication,
With hearts open wide, letting compassion take root,
This cycle of neglect, we can forever uproot...
206. Fitness vs fatness
Fitness and fatness,
Both are different themes,
The first, talks about healing the body,
The other is about body-shaming in the extreme...
Fitness is for our own personal health and growth,
Fatness is about appearance and towards it, people's outlook and approach...
Fatness, a term used by some to degrade and to shame,
But health is more than just weight and a number on a scale...
For people, it's like beauty vs beast,
Slim people, often considered beautiful, for people's eyes, a pleasant treat,
People who are overweight,
Like a beast, with disregard society treats, despises and hate...
A little weight doesn't make one unhealthy and is not necessarily bad,
And being slim doesn't mean one is fit and at his best,
Fitness and true health goes beyond outward display,
Being overweight, one doesn't downplay...
In a true sense, fitness brings delight,
Making one feel happy, healthy, energetic and light,
Inspiring to live in a natural way,
Close to nature and away from processed food of the modern day...
It means skipping junk food and not just going on a diet,
Maintaining an active lifestyle and exercising right,
Gym or brisk walk,
In nature or a park, a long, peaceful, calming jog,
A trek in the forest or up the hill,
Anything to motivate and challenge your limits and will,
From aerobics to dance, find what makes you move,
To stay healthy and active, find your groove...
Eating fruit and healthy food,
Living life happily in a good mood,
Uplifting spirits and improving focus on building a healthy body and soul,
Healing the mind, making one happy and whole,
Fitness helps one soar, conquer and thrive,
That's what being healthy and fit means in true light...
Everyone's body is differently made,
Fitness comes in all sizes and shape,
Fitness doesn't mean being lean and thin,
We should all feel good in our own skin...
Fatness, a word some use to belittle and shame,
But overweight people have often risen to heights of fame,
Obese people can also be deemed healthy and fit,
Often winning medals and championship,
Strong bodies win prizes and race,
In many fields they regularly ace...
Then why does society make it so hard for them?
To find someone to love them then...?
To find respect and a meaningful relationship,
Or a happy life-long companionship...?
Though society judges by a shallow gaze,
True beauty lies in healthy ways...
Fitness, a journey of strength and grace,
Improving health, makes the body a temple, a happy space,
Not a burden for the soul to hide,
But a happy place to grow and rise,
A vessel to hold,
A spirit that's vibrant, courageous, and bold...
205. The Unseen Labor, The Unsung Hero: The 24-hour job, Housewife
So much time for others,
No time for self,
Filled with selfless love,
Hard to develop...
A talent to silently sacrifice,
Even when their best for others will never suffice,
Losing the colors of their own life,
To brighten up others' lives...
Giving up so many hobbies,
Letting go so many talents in vain,
Forgetting their own dreams,
In the name of their family's bigger goals and aims...
A 24-hour job,
So undervalued and underpaid,
Working silently alone,
Sometimes, even being treated worse than a maid...
So much to sacrifice
And so little appreciation and praise,
Doing a perfectly impossible job,
Non-stop at a continuous pace...
A forever job, with no one else to replace,
A job where no one is ever willing to take their place,
A job only the bravest of the brave can take,
A job to be done, always smiling, and with grace...
A job without any leave,
A job without any off days,
A 365 days a year job,
A job without any pay...
Working like a machine,
Non-stop every day,
In life's major decisions,
Without any right to suggest or say....
Simply on other's terms,
Living their life,
No freedom and no right,
With no power to decide...
Everyone ignoring, the future prospects bright,
Slowly pushing them into the shadows,
Keeping them away from the limelight,
Closing all doors of opportunities right,
Sealing their future with silence and plight...
Carrying so many burdens,
In the heart and in the soul,
With no one to help and share,
The workload and the role,
Family's happiness,
Remaining life's only goal,
24 by 7 work,
Only making their life whole...
Thinking of others' needs,
Others orders, always ready to heed...
Taking care of others' welfare,
With not a single moment left for themselves to spare,
No time to breathe,
No time to rest,
With a never ending workload,
Taking of their health and patience,
A continuous test...
Not getting enough sleep,
Not getting enough rest,
Without any appreciation,
Even after giving their best,
Drained, tired and exhausted,
At the end of the day,
Often crying alone,
Feeling hurt, alone and depressed all day...
Often laughed at and mocked,
Treated like a worthless piece of rock...
Taken for granted,
With the near ones,
Always acting discontented...
Filled with taunts and complaints,
Even if tired and drained,
With over exertion, the other person faints...
The sweeping and the cleaning,
The laundry and the ironing,
The cooking and the vegetable chopping,
The dishes and the grocery shopping,
The dozens of household chores,
The things that ordinarily bore,
But in everyday life, one can't choose to ignore....
Doing so many professional roles,
Without any pay,
Not caring about the time of the day...
Saving every penny,
Working around the clock,
Raising kids with values and morals,
Is not an easy job...
A mother, a wife, a chef, a cleaner, a washerman, and so many other roles to play every day,
She is nothing, just a housewife,
Is what in her introduction, people say...
Treated in a way, impolite,
With their rights, honor and respect being denied,
Still, to defend their loved ones,
They are always ready to work and fight...
Love as a silent symphony,
Playing through these endless chores,
The house, a hungry beast,
Forever needing to be fed more and more...
In this dance of devotion,
Silencing her dreams,
That once used to ignite,
Forgetting her own happiness,
Ignoring her wishes,
Aspirations, likes and dislikes...
Dedicated, with love and duty,
Her voice remains unheard,
Yet for her family's happiness,
She endlessly keeps on doing the work...
She keeps on marching on,
With a silent hope for the world to finally see,
How the love and sacrifice of a housewife,
Sets her whole household and family free...
A hope that some day they will realise,
The worth and value of the hard work of a housewife,
That some day they will recognize,
The job of a housewife is worth more than all the world's money and price...
204. Potential pitfalls of sharing anger
When you are angry,
Choose carefully what you share,
And with whom you share,
Because seldom would you find someone,
Who's genuinely concerned and truly cares...
No one will understand your emotion,
No one will feel your pain quite the same,
Twisting your words and playing a blame game,
Your good name, they will stain,
Bringing you more misery and shame...
Sharing your heart with the ones you love and trust,
Expressing your despair and broken heart,
But sharing may backfire and create a new drama,
Rather than helping heal from one, gaining a new trauma...
Being called names harsh and rough,
Making the life journey ahead with the one whom you share your heart, more challenging and tough...
Twisting your words of the past,
Hurting and haunting your present to a degree, vast...
They will taunt,
And try to accuse,
Things you once shared,
They will use it as a weapon and as an excuse...
You will be judged, but be called judgmental,
End up hurt, but called non-understanding and non-emotional...
You will be labeled unreliable,
Backbiting, backbitching and undesirable...
Addressed as a burden to hold and a toxic mate,
More suffocating than a relationship date...
Betrayed, misunderstood and left with emotional pain,
Judged and left with feelings of isolation and regret with immense strain ....
The path is fraught, trust can easily break,
But with careful steps, a healing bond you can make.
But even after so much risk,
Still, there exists a possibility of healthy communication to coexist,
By choosing with care, a listening ear,
A heart that won't ignite your fear...
Sharing a heart with a trusted friend,
Might help build understanding that can help anger heal and mend...
Somewhere, a patient listening ear might wait,
To mend the wounds of anger and set things straight,
There is always a small chance of finding a safe space to share,
To vent your heart's frustration and anger, even if it's rare...
Expressing our hurt with a calmer tongue,
Building a safe space where your voice can be better understood and sung...
203. The Joy of Giving
The joy of offering, with a heart so true,
Expecting nothing, for the act sees you through.
A purer bliss than any earthly fun,
Something otherwise ordinarily really hard and next to impossible to earn...
Something more valuable than all worldly pleasures and earthly delights,
Something that makes us calm, composed, humble and polite...
A kind of pure bliss and joy,
Bringing serenity and peace, no one can destroy...
Sharing with a hand that's open wide,
Filled with love and empathy, a guiding light inside.
Away from all greed and lust,
With all desires and hopes of any return to lie in dust...
Witnessing the smile of the receiver of the gift,
Gives our own soul a true uplift,
Seeing the smile of the receiver's lips,
Feels nothing less than divine and pure bliss....
Helping anyone out in any possible way,
To reap its benefits, not wanting to stay...
Making someone happy and okay,
Seeing their radiant sunshine smile, lights up the day,
Keeping all expectations at bay,
Offering help unasked out of the gray,
Letting gratitude with actions convey...
The joy of giving, a selfless delight,
Surpassing all earthly pleasures, both day and night...
The warmth of a generous connection,
Leaving behind a sense of boundless satisfaction...
202. The Mask of Benevolence: Venom in Veins
The Mask of Benevolence,
Venom in the Veins,
Sanity of their thoughts,
Going down the drain...
I am at loss of words,
Seeing people's minds filled with unbelievable darkness and dirt...
How one can behave inhuman and totally gross,
When they feel insecure and fear, their dark hearts are at risk of being exposed, leaving them at loss...
How they can be really jealous, mean and act crazy like a jerk,
Unnecessarily interfering in other's lives and work...
With their free, unsought, unwanted and insane advice,
Others' happiness and peace,
Brutally, these selfish souls force demise...
Some people are really filled,
With so much negativity and filth,
To destroy others' lives,
They seem truly talented and super skilled...
Troubled soul with insane mind,
Tormenting others with their acts and words blind...
They open their mouths just to shit,
Some really slick and sick dumbwit...
Destroying the peace and innocence of a young and fragile mind,
Some really shameful elements of humankind...
Relishing and finding joy,
When others peace and life,
Mysteriously and mischievously they destroy...
Feeding negativity to young souls,
Draining their will and life force to gain their life's total control...
Envious soul, with a repulsive goal,
To engulf happiness, to hold back the progressive soul...
Psychopaths, thinking themselves to be physiatrists,
But in reality they are nothing more than sadists and pathetic narcissists...
Double standard people,
With dark hearts and corrupted minds,
Carrying a fake face,
Acting caring, concerned and kind...
Cunning and sly manipulators,
In patriots' clothes, true traitors...
A wolf in a sheep's hide,
Hiding so gracefully in plain sight...
Vicious tormentors,
With hearts like stagnant ponds,
Spreading venom when threatened,
Where virtue confounds...
Releasing their inner rot and toxicity,
With their words unrefined,
Spreading negativity and disease,
Of their twisted minds...
Maybe they are seeing the world,
Like the beast they are,
Dragging the darkness and trauma,
Of their past, really far...
A heavy burden, a twisted scar,
That shaped their thoughts and actions,
Shockingly bizarre...
201. Lessons of scarred wisdom
You may choose to ignore or ghost,
With your silence you may choose to roast...
Your life, Your wish,
If you don't want to, I won't be a part of it...
You made your choice,
You are the boss,
But it doesn't really matter,
Because ultimately it's your loss...
I tried to stay because I really cared,
But your cold, numb behavior really left me hurt and scared...
I was just giving without any expectation of any return,
I guess at least some respect I should have in the least earned...
Your mistake you may not realize,
From your life, the reason for my demise...
This day you may soon forget,
The silent tears that for hours I shed,
But the lesson is etched deep,
I will never forget...
You will never find,
This kind of pure love, care and concern,
No matter in its search,
How many years and places you run...
My presence in your life,
You can try and replace,
But no one can ever,
Really take my place...
I valued and accepted you,
As who you are,
And it's ok if you choose to be harsh,
And try to leave a scar...
Scars are nothing,
But just lessons, learned hard,
They show people's real faces,
And the hidden darkness of their heart...
Every lesson teaches us,
The art of living life,
Forgive people and carry on life,
With a light heart and cheerful vibe...
I gained freedom,
I gained peace,
Paying in tears,
The hard lessons fees...
Every lesson makes us wiser,
Every hardship makes us stronger and better fighter...
So thank you for all that you did,
I hope no one ever does it to you, God forbid...
But if you are ever in trouble,
And need a helping hand,
You know where to find me,
Because a helping hand family always lends...
